So many events have been launched on the Habbo site, whether they're just for fun, to go with a new sponsor or even an international event! In the past the events haven't been quite as imaginative as there weren't as many features on Habbo to make good use of. At present, with all the amazing features we have, Habbo have been able to incorporate these into their events. One example of them doing this is using Habbo Homepages to link you to places and give you more information. The recent prizes are also getting a lot better, though there are more being given out so they are not worth as much. Since there are so many events, we are unable to list them all, so we are just giving the details of the main ones. Events which were run alongside a partnership with another company can be found here. If you want a direct link to an event, then click here to take you to a table of events. The Virus! - October 2008 Emergency in Habbo! As a deadly virus spread through the hotel uncontrollably, there were many competitions such as hospital building with the help of the new furni which was released in the catalogue and is now known as Virus furni. A few days after the virus began, Lost_Witness AND Bucho6 were both struck down. At this stage, more furni was added to the catalogue for the hospitals. The message from Sulake HQ was as follows: Your Hotel Managers are entering the final stages of the virus and need YOU to fight back and save them! The Insiders? - October 2008 Whether its good news or bad news, in October there were sightings of the Insiders on the hotel. However, all we knew was a bit about each person and at this time we don't know where they could be! Milo is cocky, confident and a little bit crazy, but just because he acts like an idiot doesn’t mean he’s stupid! Pix has three loves; fun, facts and Spike from My Spy Family…if only he felt the same! Keys loves hi-tech stuff. He’s the only one who really understands how the gizmo works but his fear of celebrities means he doesn’t get out much. Igor - September 2008 Igor is know for his mad-cap scientific experiments and he decided to release his new inventions in Habbo. These three inventions, uncluding "The Switch", "The Ray Gun" and "The Hump Massaging Chair," were for sale at 5 creds a peice and Habbo said that they would never be in the catalogue again, so worth buying them. As well as new furni being released, you were also able to get free tickets from Habbo to see the Igor film on the big screen! HabbOlympics - August 200 8 To top off the Beijing Olympics over in China, Habbo joined in on the action and launched the HabbOlympics. A number of events ranging from cycling to wrestling! 19 teams took part, along with individuals in the range of events hosted by Lost_Witness and Bucho6, either to take a team prize if they had the most points at the end of the events, or a single prize after each event. Along with these events there was also some new greek furniture to create amazing structures of stone! Habbo Big Brother - July 2008 There's always been the odd Big Brother floating around Habbo, but now there is an official house! After thousands of Habbos applied for a place in the house, only a select few were allowed in. 21 housemates entered the house for their two week long stay! The real identities of all housemates were kept secret and they had special accounts to take part in the event with. Every few days there was a task, and of course, evictions! One rule of the house was that you must regularly visit, or else you would be booted out - as a minority were. On the final day of the Big Brother experience, only one housemate could walk away victorious, leaving all other housemates trailing behind them. That lucky Habbo, the winner of Habbo Big Brother 2008, was... Jeradeen1, who was really... 123ld! We also gained a Hotel Manager from the experience, Bucho6. He was in the house from the start until mid-way when the truth was announced! Euro 2008 - June 20 08 One of the biggest events in the sporting calender is that of Euro 2008. Habbos were asked to predict who they thought would win the event by joining different groups. There were different rewards for each team that got into different stages. Those that were eliminated in round 1 received nothing. Those that got into the Quarter Finals would get 10 members 1 month of HC and 10 members a contender badge. Those in the Semi Finals would get 30 members 1 month of HC and 30 members a conteder badge. Those lucky Habbos who chose the teams in the final would get 40 supporters 1 month of HC and 40 members a contender badge. Those supporting the winning team in the final got 10 members a champion badge, 50 members 1 month of HC, 50 members 25 credits. Kitsune's Sushi Parlour - June 2008 Kitsune has returned to Habbo after the drama of the Fountain of Kitsune being vandalized! She has given up her powers and wishes to settle down and start her very own Sushi Parlour! Habbos were welcomed to take a job in her Sushi Parlour and those working hardest whilst she visited would be rewarded with a sushi badge! There was also the opportunity to create your very own Sushi Parlour with the new range of Japanese Furniture, the most popular rooms when Kitsune visited won the owner a sushi badge. Eurovision - May 2008 Well, to coincide with the real Eurovision Song Contest of 2008, Habbo created their very own version of the contest. Habbos were asked to create their own songs using Traxmachines and place their room in a special floor on the navigator for this event. There was also a second competition, in which users would predict which country would win the title of Eurovision and those who chose correctly were rewarded with a never-seen-before Purple Guitar Badge! Congratulations those who chose Russia! Alhambra - April 2008 Rather than return with the infamous Japanese theme, usually revolving around Mei Ling, the Habbo Staff have obviously been racking their brains for a new idea, and they came up with a rather good one! This year we have been brought a new quest from the depths of the Palace of Alhambra. Poor Mr Lost_Witness was stuck inside the Palace after being rather nosy and looking around in the cellars. He was offered a chance from the magical Jinn to escape the palace if he successfully completed three tasks. If any of these tasks were failed, Lost_Witness would be stuck there for eternity! Surprisingly, the Jinn allowed Lost_Witness to ask the Habbo community for help on his escape path, quite a difference from his usual bluntness when dealing with new inmates. Gladiators - April 2008 Shortly before the release of the new series of the ever-so famous 'Gladiators' on Sky One, Habbo delved into the world of Gladiators, bring joy and tears to Habbos Hotelwide. There were a series of events, some which involved climbing a pyramid and trying not to be knocked off and another which meant you had to tackle the Gauntlet, many of these events closely resembled those in the actual TV series! A number of 'side-events' also happened alongside the main events, one of which asked the Habbo community to create alterations of the original Gladiators! Your own Event! - March 2008 With the recent introduction of being able to create your own events, Habbo decided to ease off from creating luxurious rooms for you to explore, with even mre extravagant prizes up for grabs! To replace their events, Habbos were encouraged to host their own events, using the Events Menu. What can my event be? Anything at all! You could have created a Falling Furni room, maybe a Habbo Quiz, or possibly, just possibly, invent a new, never seen before game! Habbo Fairground - March 2008 In this long running and rather complex point orientated event Habbo asked users to create rooms which would earn them points. Every few days a new ride theme would be posted on the homepage, such as Ghost Train or Roller Coaster. There were 3 different parks users could join, using the group pages, and they would then be playing to earn points for that group. Habbo Staff would then visit the top 5 rooms in each park and count the number of people, these numbers would then be added together and added to that park's score. The prizes given in this event included many Rollercoaster badges and Strawberry Ice Cream Machines. Fountain of Kitsune - February 2008 This event had quite a few parts to it, and was serious for the city of Aoralia. The fountain in Aoralia - the source of power for the city, was sabbotaged by demons and the city was left in darkness. Habbo asked us to vote in a poll as to what the fountain keeper should do, they then asked us to create a new fountain for Aoralia! Valentines - February 2008 This year in Habbo, Valentines wasn't called Valentines, it was called Habborella. The main part of this event was split into 3 parts; Speed Dating, Wedding Chapel and Blind Date. There were 4 rooms created for each of these events, under a special section on the navigator, though only one room would be picked for that day's game to be played in. These events were continued throughout the week, along with a quest. There was also some new furniture introduced, including Share Bears and boxes of chocolate, not forgetting the Crystal Ball! 3 new badges were also spotted, but only 2 were given to Habbos who won events.
Habbopolis - January 2008 Super Heros really can come in useful, not just for when you're bored and want to watch some Superman. When a team of mutants attempted to take control of the hotel Habbo asked it's users to create groups of superheros, ranging from 1-10 people. You were then asked to come up with their powers and how they would defeat the mutants. Traxfactor - December 2007 Get your DJing skills at the ready for traxfactor! Using the Trax Machines and Jukeboxes you were asked to create the best song you could. Independent Habbo Record Labels would then search the hotel for artists they wished to sign up to their label and the team would then progress through 4 stages, including promoting their artist and making a recording studio. The finalists would then go through to the public vote to find a winner! Christmas - December 2007 Rasta Santa didn't cause the hype in Habbo Hotel this December, a group of new potential santas did! SInce Rasta Santa was unable to do his duties this year, Habbo had 4 new santas, who would be the best? You decide! The four potentials were called Santa Smilla, Santa 3000, Sinister Santa and Santa Bobby. Each of these characters brought new furni, events and competitions to the hotel with them. At the end of the four weeks the Habbo Public would get to vote which Santa they liked the most, which would then br crowned the new Santa. Along with this campaign there was also an Advent Calendar, which had limited supplies but you were given 4 chances a day to get a special item of furniture, at either 1pm, 3pm, 5pm or 7pm. If you were lucky enough to get an item, you would have received an email with a code you would then have to redeem. Keep it Real - November 2007 You've probably heard of Retro Hotels, well this campaign was all against them! Many of these fake hotels can get hold of your data, either by you using your real Habbo details or you downloading something from the fake website. During this campaign there was a Homepage Sticker collection, which if you got all 5 colours, you could apply for a special sticker! The Official Fansites were also involved with this campaign, they had to run various events related to staying safe in Habbo and were each given 20 Homepage Stickers to give away! At the end of this campaign users than voted for the fansite which they thought had the best events, which then won some super rare Dragon Lamps - whether they kept them or gave them away was up to them! Halloween - October 2007 As usual, the Habboween Theatredrome was brought out of storage, along with the same old furniture. Not quite. There were a few additions to the Habboween collection, such as the Crypt and Grave. There was also the traditional Pumpkin Design competition, along with an Alteration competition. You might remember the Cauldron which was released last Halloween, well it now has a competitor, the Gothic Fountain!
Holiday Resorts - August 2007 The biggest event of this summer was the Holiday Resorts. Habbo asked it's users to create resorts for all the travelers in the hotel. To help the competitors out, Habbo released the Summer Furni, some of which was the Swimming Pool and the Deck Chair. Holiday Reps would then travel through various resorts and award them stars, depending on what services they offered. For 10 services they would get 1 star, 20 services would earn them 2 stars etc. This went up until there was the possibilty to own 5 stars, which a few did. These then went up to the public vote to decide a winner. Quest Guild - July 2007 Habbo always run their own quests, now it was the user's turn to make them! Habbo asked you to form a group of 5 people, which would then form your Quest Guild. Each person would then have to take on a different role, such as Story Writer or Game Creater. Some special pieces of furni were also released, the Area Desk and White Roller. Habbowood - July 2007 The annual event is back, bigger and better! As a Habbo first, the Habbowood Theatredrome was added to the navigator, along with some new furniture being put in the catalogue, such as the Red Carpet and Rope Divider. There was also a new, revamped Movie Editor. One of the first International events also started here, asking Habbos from every hotel to create the best movie they could, the best movie which was chosen by Habbo Staff from each hotel, would then go to the public vote internationally. The winner of the whole thing would then get a trip to California and 1000 credits! Asian Quest - July 2007 Yes yes, the good old Asian theme has returned. This time it wasn't someone coming to the hotel, Lost_Witness and HelKat went on an adventure to Japan. To go with this adventure there was a new Public Room added, The Oriental Tea Room and some new furniture to help you in the room designing competitions! Habbo Charts - June 2007 The start of a new weekly competition, allowing you to win a super rare coloured trax machine, which you were unable to trade, was the Habbo Charts. Every week, Habbo Staff would visit various rooms under the Habbo Charts section of the navigator and look for the best 10 trax tunes. The person who came first would then receieve the special trax machine. Eco-warriors - May 2007 Habbo Staff were rushing around frantically when they heard an Environmental Inspector would be making a visit! The Habbo Staff split into two groups; The Green Tea Elementals - led by HelKat and The Grey Pixel Warriors - led by Lost_Witness. The other members of staff then had to decide which team they wanted to join, they would then set tasks for Habbos to take part in, such as room design competitions, with which the Urban and Rural Iced furniture was released. The winning team was The Green Tea Elementals.
Pixel Maze - April 2007 Habbo's own version of the Crystal Maze - in a hotel! There were 4 sections to the maze, in which participants could win ducks. These weren't the Rubber Ducks, these ducks represented how long their team would have in the Pixel Dome. The more time they won, meant they had more chance of getting through the maze and onto the leaderboard! Habbo Homepage badges were given out during this event, along with furniture prizes. Easter - April 2007 This year's Easter events weren't anything special. There was the usual Easter Theatredrome and the Easter Furni, not forgetting the traditional Easter Party. There was an unusual addition to the catalogue, the Golden Pillow - previously a super rare! Valentines - February 2007 This was quite an interesting event, many new features came with it! Firstly, we have the e-cards available to send to your lover, the matchmaking and personality test tools. Then we saw the NEWLYMETS items and gossip from that, and the poem generator! As with any Valentines there was the Valentines Theatredrome and the usual furniture. The Habbo Staff also gave some lovely presents to some Habbos, in the form of a room makeover! Christmas - December 2006 All the usual stuff came around as usual, the Christmas Theatredrome, the furniture, the games and events. This was also the first time the Advent Calendar was used, which allowed users to download free backgrounds, screensavers and even ringtones! There were also the official fansites and Habbo eXperts taking part in the festivities, hosting a number of games. Daisy also made her usual visit for the Christmas Giveaway. Some badges were also given out and some new Habbo Homepage stickers were released, as was the Snow Patch!
Halloween - October 2006 Trick or Treat? That is the question Habbo staff were asking around Habboween, they would either drop something nice in your room, such as the new rare - or something not so nice, maybe a duck or stool? That new rare... it was rather dull, dark and gloomy but with two clicks it would transform into a lovely lamp! The Serpent of Doom brought all those features, along with the Habboween Furniture to sit around it. There was also the Knight Rollers released, along with some new badges being dished out - these were also one of the treats. Another treat was released into the catalogue for all - the Alien Artifact #1337! Streets of Bobba - September 2006 This event was rather large and had four groups as parts of it. These four groups were; Famiglia Bobbaschi, Furnihilists, Bouncing Queens and Shabbolins. Habbos were then asked to vote people into each group, there were 20 members to each group and they would receieve a badge to show which group they were in. There was also a points system which you were able to win points for your group by taking part in events and competitions. Around the World in 80 rooms - August 2006 Each week the Habbo Staff would post a new list of countries which you would then have to create room for, whether it be of a famous landmark or a style of house they construct there. At the end of each week the public would vote for their favourite room, they would then vote for the best one out of the top ten. This ran for 8 weeks, we were then asked to choose the best room from the final 8, who would then win a Purple Dragon! The 8 finalists also received an Infobus Poster. Mei Ling - July 2006 One of the earlier encounters with Miss Mei Ling, always getting lost. This time Habbo asked us to search for her in her mansion you could get your grubby little pixel fingers on 5 thrones! There was also the release of new Asian furniture. World Cup - June 2006 One of the biggest events of the summer was the Habbo Dream Team. Habbo launched the new public room, The Stadium and the Football Lamp to celebrate your favourite team winning. Habbo ran a number of events to give Habbos a place in the Dream Team, there was also an official fansite competition to give one place to, in which Habbos voted for their favourite representative to take that place on the team. All of the members of the team would then go head-to-head against the other hotels, unfortunately for us, the United States won.
Pirates Invade - May 2006 Habbos asked us to form a crew of Habbo Pirates, which then had to act as a group to complete the quest to find the hidden treasures of the Pirate Seas. The crews were also asked to create a ship to hold their crew, along with the release of the Sea Dragon. Easter - April 2006 Yet another boring Easter, just the usual Easter Theatredrome and furniture, with a few new events thrown in here and there... nothing too special! Habbowood - March 2006 The notorious event is back, with even more events and prizes to be won. As usual, you could make a movie with the Movie Editor. One competition which involved the movie editor was making a movie about how stuntmen can stay safe, whilst continuing doing their job. There was also the chance to get your hands on a Video Camera and some credits. The official fansites also got involved when they battled it out to make hte best movie. There was also a quest in which you had to find Regina's pillow dye, which then sparked the release of the purple pillow! This also welcomed the Habbowood badge! Habbowealth Games - March 2006
Sport has entered the hotel for a short while. You could have won some medal badges, either bronze, silver or gold, depending on how well you did in the events. You were able to win points by taking part in a number of events, including Diving and Racing, the overall winner also receieved a handful of furniture. Valentines - February 2006 The biggest Valentines event on record, SUPERLOVE. There was the obvious, the furniture, the Theatredrome and downloads, not forgetting the e-cards. We were also asked to form couples, one male and one female, people would then vote for their favourite couple. The duo with the most votes at the end of the voting will be crowned the King and Queen of SUPERLOVE, who will then receive a SUPERLOVE Gun Badge, 250 credits and a trophy, each! These badges then allowed the duo to dish out Heart Badges to whoever they wished.
Chinese New Year - January 2006 One of the first times we saw Mei Ling was around this time. She came to the hotel, with gifts from china in her back pocket! She stayed for a week, each day a new gift would be available, some of these gifts were new rares and new clothes. What with it being the Year of the Dog, the Habbo Pets were also available at a reduced price! Goodbye Hobbas - December 2005 On the 31st December, Hobbas were removed from all hotels. They didn't go out quietly, they had a whole month of events! There was one event in particular, the Habbo Triathlon: Hobbas vs Habbos. In this event the Hobbas went up against the Habbo Public in three games, Battle Ball, Wobble Squabble and Diving. The winner of the Triathlon, the person with the most points at the end, won a Golden Dragon along with some other things. A quest was also running, along with various parties. All of the Hobbas even receieved a special badge to show the Habbo world they were part of the team when it had departed. Christmas - December 2005 Another big event was this Christmas. There was a huge dispute between Dudley and Rudolph, the main theme of this Christmas. The two ran various events to win badges and furni, nearer to the big day we, the Habbo public, were asked to vote who they thought would be the best candidate to run Christmas 2005! There was the usual furni released, the special Theatredrome and a quest, asking us to find the pieces of Santa's Sleigh which got shattered into 5 pieces, poor Santa. Hotel Manager for a week - November 2005 Since Callie does such a good job of being Hotel Manager and works long hours, she decided it was time for a break. She didn't want too long to rest, only 1 week! It was up to the public who would become the new Hotel Manager, they would be in charge of running the hotel, competitions and events, and, of course, writing the newsletter! The lucky Habbo who got to take on this role was Evolution!
Halloween - October 2005 Many games and competitions came around for this event, the good old Habboween furniture was brought back from the depths of the cellar, the downloads and e-cards were also found in a soggy box! This year we were also given the chance to choose our own rare, by choosing which we wanted to be resurrected. There was the Pumpkin Design competition again, and as a new addition to the Habboween events, the Habbo Clans! What you had to do was form a group, whether it was friends or any old randomer, you then had to take part in various tasks and one clan would be the winner, publishing their article in the newsletter. RAF4U - August 2005 Possibly one of the biggest events that have happened so far in Habbo would have to be RAF4U. What happened was 5 members of staff made their own team who people could then be recruited into. Many of the games were for teams, meaning more than one person could play, some of these games used were things like Capture the flag and Kick Wars. The five teams were; Jenova (Lost_Witness), Geno (Dionysus), RIF (Impetuous), Tea A (Helkat) and Kosmic Kittens (GlitterKat). After going on until mid September, RIF were named the winners! Timeport - July 2005 This was the first time Donnie Santini came into the hotel, but then he went off on some more little journeys of his own. He launched 8 tasks, from 8 different holiday destinations. Some of these were trying to find the missing Dragon Egg and Donnie Santini also took part in some games of Wobble Squabble, he would even buy your tickets! Mr Santini wasn't the only one giving Habbos the chance to win some goodies, Callie also created a maze and some other events.
Fansite Month - May 2005 What a large event this was, so I'll stay brief so I can fit more in! Firstly, the Fansite Drop-in was constructed for users to find out about the official fansites. There was a competition which involved making a room, each fansite had an account created with 250 credits on, in whicih they had to make the best competition to win this event. They also had to battle it out to make the best alterations and find the best news reporter in the fansites. The winner of the Habbarazzi competition also got to write in the newsletter each week. Each fansite also ran their own quests and competitions, some of which you could win a set of Elephants, Rare Trophy sets and DJ Decks! Easter - April 2005
A rather eventful Easter this year. We had the usual Theatredrome and furniture added to the hotel. Easter Bunny also paid a visit to give out furniture and trophies, the bunny also had a shock when she found she had lost her precious purple easter eggs - which sparked off a new quest to find them! Habbo also asked you to design some rooms, easter eggs and they even gave away some duckies! Valentines - February 2005 There were many opportunities to get some credits and furniture in the Valentines events this year. There were a few quests, one of which you had to find the true love between Romeo and Juliet, another which you had to find Cupid - after he went missing. The main theme of this Valentines day was to make friends, there was a Fast Friends room created to make friends, fast! Habbo Homes - January 2005
Each day during this event, you would be asked to look through 7 rooms, designed by the Habbo Staff. Next you had to rack your brains over who might have created it, then submit your answer on the homepage. Since there were 7 rooms, it lasted for 7 days. One winner, who was chosen at random everyday would win 100 credits! Habbo Awards - December 2004 Not very often is it that Habbo want to find special members. Well, in this New Year's event, they wanted to find a Habbo of the year, they actually wanted to find 12! They asked the public to vote for which room they thought was the best, a few finalists for each group were then put up for the vote again to get a winner. The groups they wanted a best Habbo for were; Most Helpful Male, Most Helpful Female, Funniest Male, Funniest Female, Most Helpful Help Centre, Best Chill Room, Best Game Room, Best Trade Room, Best Theme Room, Best Fansite, Best Radio and the person Most Contributed to the hotel. Habbox managed to win two of these awards, the Best Fansite and Best Radio! Christmas - December 2004 There were a lot of events this Christmas so only a few can be explained. Everyday Habbo Staff would visit the 5 most popular rooms and drop some festive presents in there, along with running a daily giveaway for 30 minutes! There were also a few quests, one included you having to find the missing Gingerbread House, another asking you to find the password to a christmas store room. The biggest event this Christmas was Mr & Mrs Habbo, the search for 2 Habbos to be crowned Mr & Mrs Habbo. The public were asked to vote their favorite male and female Habbo, the male and female with the most votes were then crowned Mr and Mrs Habbo, these two people were moonglowgirl and Budy! Easter - March 2004 Unfortunately, there was no eggs until the bunny had been found. Habbo sent us on a quest to find the easter bunny, we had to follow a series of mazes and clues to get to the bunny and answer the question, Where is the Easter Bunny hiding? You were then able to win everything that was in the final room - including the bunny!
Pet Trail - January 2004 The earliest event on record is when something new was coming to the hotel. What you had to do was 'Follow the trail to the tail', you had to ask a bot some questions which would then give you the password to a room, which you then had to follow some simple clues to get the tail. You've probably guessed it by now, this was when the new Habbo Pets were coming, but were not actually released yet. 10 lucky Habbos got a pet, before anyone else! We have been as accurate as possible in finding the History of Events and what happened during them. However, we are unable to make sure they are 100% correct as we are limited to what information we can get our hands on.
