| Habbo Knowledge - Furniture Changes |
|
Over the 8 years Habbo has been running, a few pieces of furniture have been changed - for the better! Many of the old items were quite plain and simple, now Habbo have began releasing fancy rares, some of which are even animated, it would have looked slightly odd if there was one of these lovely rares next to one of the old items, such as an old Iced Bench. Shown below are the items which have changed and what they changed into. Some have even changed 3 times!
Nearly every piece of furniture in the Area section has changed in at least one way throughout the different versions of Habbo, the only one which has stayed the same is the Area Bar. Following that, the Area Corner has only been changed once. Every other item has had 3 facelifts! Area Furniture has also been released in various other colours too, including yellow and red, with a few additions to the section as well - including the Study Desk and Mini Safe.
![]() Plastic (also known as Plasto) furniture has had a few minor changes over the years. Only three of the six available items have had an update, mainly because the others already fitted in with the new style. The following items are now more rounded and not quite as shiny. The following items have also had a changed status within Habbo, the pods were originally in the catalogue but were then removed, the chair was scripted into the hotel in 2002. Habbo Staff then deleted any that were in rooms but those in people's hands remained. Habbo now allow users to trade all of these items but there will never be any more added to the hotel.
The coolest, sleekest and plainest furniture has also been under the knife, to make it fit in with other new furniture! The old design was rather... blunt ended. The new design, however, is much more round and now you won't poke your Habbo eye out on them!
The Gallery section of the catalogue is constantly changing, whether it is a new poster being added, or a few removed. This has been happening since Habbo was first created but there weren't only these changes to those on sale, oh no! Many of the posters have had an upgrade to be more 'Habbo-ish' rather than real life, though some were made due to sponsors at that time.
Believe it or not, the Aloe vera plant was originally in the Plants section of the catalogue when Habbo first started, later on it was removed for an unknown reason, after this scripters began to create the plant yet again so Habbo made the decision to release it as a rare. The Mountain Dew furniture was originally released in an early sponsorship, bit has since changed and the items have gradually been released.
