Japanese Volcano Is Still Erupting!0
By - Posted 4th July, 2015

The volcano in Japan is still angry and still wants to be heard!images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS938V-92klDW39QjrCOkR

A blast from an erupting volcano shot ash and rocks 2000 metres up into their and shattered windows many miles away. The danger zone around Mount Shinmoedake has had to be widened from a 2 kilometre radius to a 3 kilometre radius. This was the first time in 52 years that the volcano has erupted. It was noticed that this was the first time for the volcano to spew magma in 189 years since 1822.

The dome of lava inside the crater of the volcano has grown five times larger than it had been on Friday as pressure increased from below. Experts have said, even though the dome has grew a lot since Friday, it won’t overflow.

A 92 year old woman suffered hand and facial injuries when she was hit by flying glass shards from broken hospital windows and officials said that nearly two hundred schools and public halls had their windows smashed. In the town of Takaharu, more than six hundred people have been forced to evacuate and take refuge in community centres and school halls.

I am so glad I don’t live anywhere near a volcano because I wouldn’t be able to leave anything behind.

Wish upon a Star0

Wish Upon a Star

This article was inspired by something that happened a few nights ago. I was walking home from school when I saw a shooting star. I’ve never actually seen one before, but it was so dark, and the star was so bright, it was kind of hard to miss! I know you’re meant to wish on a shooting star, so I tried to think of a really good wish (just in case I never saw another one again), but the shooting star had surprised me and I didn’t really have any good wishes on deck, so I wished for the first semi-intelligible thing that came to mind: for the rest of my life to be totally awesome.

As soon as that jumble of words left my mouth, I immediately started thinking of all the ways my wish could backfire and how the phrase “I wish that the rest of my life is totally awesome” could be misinterpreted and taken out of context and turned around to cause me great misery. I internally moaned at myself for not choosing a better wish, or at least wording it better. I could have used this opportunity to secure a bright and wonderful future for myself, but no, I was stupid and just blurted out the first dumb thing to jump into my head and I’d wasted my wish and possibly also earned myself an untimely death or a crippling brain injury. Greeeeeeaaaaaat!

Then I realized that I was standing on the corner of my road, freezing my socks off, panicking over whether some made-up character that grants wishes was going to mess up my wish using some sort of technical loophole involving death, brain damage or unconsciousness. So, I figured, I must be more specific. This is what I came up with as the best wish.

“I wish that the rest of my life is totally awesome, but you can’t shorten my life to accommodate that wish. Also, not because I’m brain-damaged or something – objectively awesome. And don’t try to cheat me by sneaking in a long coma… I want to be totally conscious of how awesome my life is.”

Always be specific. Just in case the Wish Genie is a total idiot.

Christian Slater Alive And Well0
By - Posted

Some people thought Christian Slater was dead, some thought he wasn’tChristian_Slater2LG.jpg and some didn’t care, but I can now reveal he’s not dead

Movie actor Christian Slater is alive and well despite online reports that he had been killed in a snowboarding accident. The 41 year old actor has been on holiday with his family and friends in the Swiss resort of Zermatt.

Some concerned fans of Christian Slater even posted links to what appeared to be a genuine news website, seemingly confirming the breaking story. If the news were true, it would no doubt be reported on the outlets of other news organisations around the world.

This is the same ski resort where last December, false reports of the deaths of Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, Owen Wilson and Charlie Sheen also appeared on the internet. During the Christmas holiday period representatives of the stars denied the reports.

I don’t know why people make up fake sites saying some famous has died while on holiday. It’s just stupid!

Let's Be Friends

This is a poem about a line I’m sure some of you are unfortunately far too familiar with.

Let’s be friends.

Yes!
Let’s be friends!
Hey friend, pass the needle,
My heart still needs repairing.

Sure!
Let’s just be friends!
Hey friend, what new things I can learn,
From your lies this time around?

Okay!
Let’s be friends!
Hey friend, can I meet your new lover,
And pick out what was wrong with me?

Why not?
Let’s just be friends!

Actually,
I don’t think this will work.
Do you?

Saved From Myself0

Cartoon Hug

This poem is dedicated to, and written for someone who means so much to me right now, I don’t know if I’d be here (quite like this) if it wasn’t for you. You know who you are – don’t  change please. Also be happy, I hate seeing you like this.

You were there to catch me when I fall
Bring me back from non-existence
Wave a flower in my face
And made me breathe

You keep me standing tall
Like a stake that’s rooted deep
Never fail and never waver
As the world keeps spinning round
Leaving the word just a blur around me

Left with all the broken dolls
Thrown down with all that’s left behind
But you saved me from myself
Brought me back from non-existence
Kept me from going under

And made me breathe
