Actress Rachel Bilson, best known for starring in the hit TV series Hart of Dixie, has expressed the difficulty it still is co-parenting her daughter with her ex Hayden Christensen.

Despite the emotions Rachel has with the Star Wars actor she has opened up and revealed that the former couple are still figuring out the best possible way to co-parent their 3 year old daughter Briar, “We’re still kind of trying to figure it out…It’s a tricky one. And I don’t know that there is any right way, necessarily.”

Rachel and Hayden split for the final time last year in September after dating on and off for the past 10 years and even being engaged at one stage. Bilson has revealed to the media about the ways the pair have handled the split with regards to Briar, “We say Mommy has a house and Daddy has a house but she’s pretty young to have an in-depth conversation.” She then continued on saying, “Most important for me is that Briar is OK and secure and stable. No matter what I’m dealing with or how much it hurts or how much anger there is, it’s just about her.”

The 36 year old also spoke out revealing how she handles her work life and her new permanent job as a mother, while balancing them both out. As for Briar, it seems the little child is a mix of both her parents. Rachel has revealed that she is active like her father, while being strong willed and funny like herself.

The couple first met in 2007 while starring as the main leads in the movie Jumper. Since Bilson’s show Hart of Dixie ended, she has made many film projects with her latest filming the TV series Take Two where she stars as main lead Sam Swift. The show itself is about, “A private investigator in Los Angeles who selflessly teams up with a former star of a hit cop show”. As for Hayden, since he ended his Star Wars days he has been going in and out of the acting industry. The actor has signed on for 2 new movies, one called Little Italy in which he will star with Emma Roberts, and The Last Man in which he stars as Kurt and is also a main lead in. Both movies are rumoured to air some time later this year.

The Last Man is about “A war veteran with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) who perceives that the end of the world is coming. After establishing a relationship with a dubious Messiah, he leaves his normal life and begins the construction of a shelter underground, training himself, in an extreme way, at the cost of losing everything and making people believe he is insane. When he also believes it, something extraordinary happens.”  

As for Little Italy that movie is about, “A young couple who has no choice but to navigate their blossoming romance, while surrounded by a war between their families’ competing pizza restaurants.”
