Last week, the Jones family was a normal family that was very much indistinguishable from any other family in the UK. April Jones lived with her family in their humble hometown of Machynlleth (Wales) living a happy childhood. This all changed at the beginning of this week.
On Monday the 1st October, April Jones was seen getting into a van with a unknown person, and did not return home. She was playing outside the house with a few of her schoolfriends, in full view of the houses in the community. The day after she went missing, police arrested Mark Bridger, a person that they suspected of committing the abduction. Since he was first arrested, there has been a relentless search of the areas that April was believed to have visited, but this search has thus far found no results.
It was announced today that the Crown Prosecution Service has enough evidence to charge Bridger of murder, as well as the existing charges of abduction and attempting to pervert the course of justice. Bridger will appear before a Magistrates Court in the coming days.
The Jones family say that they are still certain that April will be seen again in perfect health. The Chief Constable Jackie Roberts has said that searches for April will continue and that she remains hopeful that April could be found, but she says that the probability of a positive outcome is becoming less and less probable as more time passes.
Mark Bridger remains in nearby Aberystwyth Police Station, where he will remain until Monday when his court appeal will begin.
Habbox wishes to extend its best wishes to the family of April Jones and the hard working searchers both in the area and supporters around the UK.
