The Habbo Staff appear to be pulling out all the stops to increase sales of the Black Hole.

Last month the Black Hole furni was released, available in three packages, 3 credits for 1 hole, 20 credits for 10 holes and 35 credits for 20 holes. It was an interesting feature when it first came out, with everyone creating their own unique layouts. However it seems that the Black Hole hasn’t been as big of a hit as Habbo Staff predicted, possibly leading to the 3 articles promoting the Black Hole being written just this week.

Only yesterday an article was written promoting the Black Hole in its full glory, with a handy price breakdown depending on how many you wanted. It also reminded us that you can only get your hands on an ‘amazing’ Black Hole if you are HC or VIP. It seems in a bid to boost sales the Habbo Staff have created all sorts of activities and competitions designed to make you want to buy your own Black Holes. There’s a quest with a prize of a Black Hole Experience Badge, and if you’ve done that you can proceed to enter the new competition, keeping in mind that you’ll need to buy a few Black Holes yourself.

Today I did a bit of research and saw that the ‘Best Sellers’ section of the Hotel Shop was only home to the single Black Hole, costing just 3 credits. This doesn’t come as a surprise because I’m sure every HC or VIP who had the spare 3 coins would have wanted to try it out, though perhaps after getting over the initial thrill realised it wasn’t worth spending anymore credits on. Add this to the fact that it’s only available to those who pay for extra features for their Habbos, meaning that the Habbos who don’t subscribe but still create rooms aren’t receiving the chance to try them out.
