The burglar got killed by the owner of the house he was trying to burgle
A 26 year old man suspected of burglary while trying to break into a house in Greater Manchester has been stabbed to death. The man was attempting to break into a house in Salford on Wednesday night when spotted by the householder who tried to defend the property. It is thought that the man was carried away by other members of a gang, wearing balaclavas, as they fled the scene, before they dumped him in the street.
Greater Manchester police said they were treating the mans death as murder and have arrested the householder aged 57, his 29 year old son and the sons 21 year old girlfriend. They are now being questioned regarding the death.
The terraced house now has a 100m cordon around it, erected by police. The head of Greater Manchester Polices’s Salford division, Chief Super intendant Kevin Mulligan, has said that the incident is shocking as a man has lost his life, but wanted to reassure the community that the incident would be throughly investigated and he did not believe that the public were at risk.
He wants to urge anybody with any information to come forward and speak to officers from the major incident team.
