There has been alot of people in the United Kingdom that have been trying to get a Olympic Ticket for London 2012

One point eight million people have applied for more than twenty million tickets for the 2012 London Olympic Games. There are only six point six million tickets available to the United Kingdom sports fans.

Both the opening and closing ceremonies were the first to sell out, along with the modern pentathlon, equestrian, track cycling, rhythmic gymnastics and the triathalon events.

Tickets for these sports will go to a ballot to decide who gets them. The tickets went on sale for a six week period on Tuesday March 15th and more than two point five million people had registered their intrest before that date.
