Well, the Habbox awards are over for another year and 2017 was a year to remember. We had resignations, but more importantly, we had a lot of new staff members join the team and welcomed with open arms as always!

We just wanted to let everyone know on all platforms possible who was nominated for an award and who actually won. All the nominees deserve to have won but obviously, there can only be one winner.

Before we carry on, I’ve just got a little speech to make: It’s a pleasure to be nominated and to have won DJ of the year! The amount of work I put in for HabboxLive I think it’s just what anyone would do, but obviously, I go above and beyond and I like doing it! I love being part of HabboxLive, it was the first department I joined, and always the first department I come back to when joining Habbox again. Thanks once again everyone!

Now for the time you’ve all be waiting for, a message from our General Manager, Laura. I’d just like to thank her for this message.

Habbox is a genuinely wonderful fansite. It might not be the biggest but the FAMILY and the dedicated people we have here are genuinely wonderful.

It’s been a difficult year with a lot of ups and downs but things are looking up and there are so many cool projects and events in the pipelines that we hope to be released in the next few months.

Everyone nominated for awards this year is truly deserving in their categories and I’m so happy that so many people were recognised for their fantastic contributions. Whether you’re in 24 departments (cough, Ruth) or you’re just a casual supporter, we appreciate you!

As well as the awards, last night we also announced four new inductees into the Habbox Hall of Fame. These people have contributed so much to Habbox over the years that it was a travesty they weren’t in there already. So congratulations to Jess, Matt, Laurence and Sam because we wouldn’t be here without you.

So, well done, everyone! Thank you once again and keep it up because you might be honoured next year!! (or maybe before with the return of monthly awards??)
