A baby hedgehog in Weston-super-Mare recently found itself trapped inside a crisp packet.
After a three and a half hour rescue, from six people, the adorable little creature was freed. It became trapped in a railed off area when it crawled into the packet near some steps in Weston-super-Mare, and was luckily heard by a shopkeeper, and afterwards also seen poking his nose out. To reach the hedgehog, now appropriately named Crispian, the railings had to be cut through so that rescuers could reach him.
According to the Prickles Hedgehog Rescue, Crispian was attracted to the packet by the warmth and smell. He is now thriving and will be staying in care all winter due to being so tiny. The rescue centre wants to thank all the people involved in the rescue, and says that without the obvious commitment and dedication Crispian would never have survived. He was very cold and would have likely died from it or dehydration very quickly.
This is truly a story of the kindness evident in people, and it is lovely to see this very cute creature survive. To share your views on the matter, click “Read More & Comment”.
