Recently I’ve rekindled the old piano playing me on www.virtualpiano.net it’s so much fun in my opinion as the keys represent letters on a keyboard! To my surprise it actually sounds pretty good and now I transcribed the notes into actual notes which I can play on my keyboard. Let’s just say I now can play Justin Bieber – Baby fairly well!
However, a keyboard isn’t the only time I’ve been interested in music, when I was in year seven I used to play the Clarinet. The only downside was that I couldn’t reach the bottom keys, and then got shouted at for ‘missing’ lessons, but to be honest the teacher was hardly ever there!
I also played the keyboard in my form’s Christmas Song, I came prepared, bought a book with Christmas Songs in which had ‘Little Donkey’ in, then what do they do? Change the song! Despicable.
However, I could play the song they had chosen easily, and it meant I didn’t have to sing, so there I was playing gracefully, I don’t think anyone noticed that much that I went totally wrong, or that there was no music through half of it!
Anyhow, my musical capabilities can be questioned, they aren’t that good. Have you played an instrument before? Do you still play now? I’d love to hear about your stories, just pop a comment below!
