American television network Fox have confirmed that Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid will be a judge on ‘X Factor USA’ working alongside Simon Cowell!

L.A. Reid is the first of three judges to be announced, of whom will be working alongside Simon Cowell on X Factor USA as he takes the popular talent show Stateside. Prior to this being announced; the news was speculated as a result of Reid stepping down from his role as Chairman of the Island Def Jam record label earlier this week.

Speaking about his appointment, Reid said: “I am proud to stand next to my dear friend Simon Cowell, one of the worlds most gifted and charismatic talent magnets. The X Factor provides an extraordinary opportunity for aspiring artists of every age and genre to showcase their unique talents. I truly look forward to discovering our next generation of superstars.”

L.A. Reid is Americas answer to Simon Cowell and he is seen and regarded as one of Americas most successful music producers and is responsible for signing and helping bring stars such as P!nk, Justin Beiber, Rihanna, Mariah Carey and Kanye West to multi-platinum record sales.

So, there you have it! Two judges are now officially confirmed for the show, assuming that there will be four judges this means that two more are yet to be announced! Cheryl Cole, Katy Perry, Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and Mariah Carey have all previously been linked into possible roles on the judging panel, and Simon Cowell is expected to make an announcement revealing the full judging line-up within the next few days!
