Lindsay Lohan has been put in jail again

Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan has been jailed for one hundred and twenty days for violating her probation of her 2007 drink driving conviction. This is Lindsay Lohans 4th jail term and the twenty four year old will also have to carry out four hundred and eighty hours of community service.

She has been freed on $75,000 (£45,413) bail and her lawyer is to appeal against the sentence. Lohan had previously been accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Californian jewellery store last January.

Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner reduced the internal charge of grand theft to a misdemeanor. Lindsay Lohan returned the necklace after finding out that the police had abtained a search warrant.
