Kick start the main month of summer with a fantastic new rare – The Sand Dragon!
Habbo have today released the immaculate new dragon, which I must say does like rather savvy, but it seems that there is a little twist when it comes to purchasing the new item. For several years, the standard price of a Habbo rare has been 25 credits; The Sand Dragon is available to purchase for 25 credits AND 15 shells. In order to gain shells you need to complete quests on the hotel, but what if you aren’t interested in these quests? Is it right that passionate rare or furni collectors are forced to spend time on quests that they do not want to participate in, just to buy a rare? Why should a user spend their own real life money on Habbo credits to then be told that that isn’t enough to purchase items for the catalogue? In my opinion, this is rather disgusting.
Having initially seen the new item, I thought that I did rather like it after all and I was going to purchase it, but I see that I need to waste time on stupid Habbo quests in order to get the item… What is the point of this exactly?
The rare itself is fairly attractive and I believe it will be considerably popular among the Habbo community but I do believe that a few Habbos will agree with my viewpoint regarding what it is you have to do in order to purchase the item, but other users might be fans of the quests and have already built up their collection of “shells”.
What do you think of the new rare, do you think it is being sold fairly or do you feel that Habbos who aren’t interested in collecting shells may be at a disadvantage? Leave us a comment below to let us know!
