New Quest Launched0

With the removal of pixels, most people believed that quests would either be soon to go or have a new reward. This is because quests had always been

awarded with pixels, and the only reward that is currently available for getting badges from the completion of quests is a higher achievement score.

It is with much surprise that today a new quest was released. This seems to be focused on the new community challenge, with the first badge being awarded ‘for helping to block the black hole’. At the moment, not very much information has been released about the future of the current Sci Fi campaign, and the only new feature that has been discovered is the newly revised furni-matic (previously the ecotron).

In my opinion, quests are good for newer users, but better rewards are required for older and more established users to get involved in quests and campaigns. Badges have lost popularity with both new and older users, and as these are often given as a reward for quests in the form of achievements, quests are decreasing in popularity.

This creates a argument as to the point of creating new quests, when resources could be used to introduce new campaigns, lines of furni, and to generally update the hotel. Quests however are, in my opinion, valuable for newer users. They can help a user to get used to the hotel and it’s features, and although the Helper System now does this also, the quests at least give newer users a reward for exploring the hotel.

You have heard what I have to say about the new quest, but what do you think?
