Kristiina Burtsoff will be joining the Sulake team as Director of Human Resources.

Recently added to Sulake’s ‘Management’ page, Ms Burtsoff will be “responsible for human resources management and for running Sulake’s HR team“. The human resources in a business is typically defined as just the workforce and its treatment. For example, if one employee was having a serious argument with another, human resources management (or HRM as it is known) would step in and attempt to remedy the situation.

However, more important to much of the Habbo community is her work with the hiring and firing of those staff; in particular the customer support team. She will be in charge of this area of Sulake just as much as the rest of it, including axeing any incompetent staff. 

With the recent surge in false bans and unhelpful replies through the Help Tool, many users have speculated that the employees assigned to deal with these Help Tool requests have little experience in speaking English and aren’t fit to be in this kind of contact with the community. If enough complaints are received, Kristiina (pictured to the right) will be directly responsible for dealing with the member of staff in question.

Lots of Habbox users have opinions about Sulake’s new employment choice:

Edible – “I went digging because Katharina [a member of the customer support team] has just given me the most ridiculous reply in the 8 years I have frequented Habbo. Even though I have struggled with her before I am actually annoyed that someone can be this stupid and expected to deal with issues.

Auffant1 – “Glad to see some new staff. Maybe this is a sign of some more new staff? Maybe some that come into Habbo?

Pigperson – “LOL I love Human Resources, it’s such a fun job to have. I’m sure she will be good although it doesn’t really affect us directly so I’m not too bothered.”
