It has been said that these are the “best clothes yet!” However on the other hand, they have said to be “absolutely disgusting”. Habbo have introduced some new summer items today. Some of these are: Scuba Diving Mask, 6 pack body, 2 new tattoos and for the women some bikini outfits!

These have proven quite controversial as people are complaining that the bikini’s “promote the wrong kind of message by allowing kids to sexualise their online identity within the Hotel”, whilst others have argued that there is “nothing wrong with these clothes”.

The new clothes came in perfect time to kick off the summer activities on Habbo. It enables users to dress up in their favourite beach wear and have a paddle in the pools, or even under water!

I personally find all the new items of clothes perfectly acceptable and I don’t find it promoting any sex-orientated behaviour in the hotel. It will just make teens time in the hotel more enjoyable with more clothes to choose from!. Along with The Sun Newspaper’s campaign against selling ‘sexy’ clothes to children, people think that Habbo have made a bad move in introducing these since Habbo is designed for children and having little clothes to wear on the hotel could be seen as innapropriate.
