Ocean of tears

I lay under the soft stars

Of my sanctuary’s ceiling

Protecting me from the world around

And all its dangers

I lay here on the ground

Drenched in an ocean of my tears

And fears of my uncertainty

Start to appear

Creeping towards the surface

Threatening who I am

And who I want to be

I am alone and

I am scared

Of my

Dreadful shadow.

The tears start to pool again
Slowly dropping over
A tiny ripple
In an ocean of tears
