Johnny Depp would like to put the 5th Pirates of the Caribbean movie on hold

The fourth instalment of the film ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ is due out on Wednesday 18th May 2011, but Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow) wants to put plans for the fifth movie on hold.

Producer Jerry Brukheimer has already said that he will be happy to make another film, and the script for the the fifth movie has been handed in by screenwriter Terry Rossio.

Johnny Depp, however, says he doesn’t want to rush into the next follow up. Although he hasn’t seen the new script, Johnny Depp isn’t against bringing back the iconic ‘Captain Jack Sparrow’ character at a future date. Geoffrey Rush, Penelope Cruz and Iam McShane will join Johnny Depp in the fourth film, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strange Tides’.
