The Biscuit Bandits Strike Again!2
By - Posted 28th September, 2017 at 8:00 pm The Real World

Remember the anger when Toblerones were made smaller? Well it’s happening all over again, but this time it’s McVitie’s that are at the centre of attention. But how? what have they done? Read more to find out.

As a child I hated Jaffa Cakes, but with them being the most popular snack at the swimming comps I’m involved with I’ve turned into a big fan of the orange- well, is it a biscuit? is it a cake? That’s a whole different debate. So it won’t come as a surprise that I was outraged like the rest when I heard the news that McVitie’s are changing their usual 12 pack to hold just 10 Jaffa Cakes. Many have taken to social media to broadcast their feelings with some supposedly even planning a protest…

The price of Jaffa Cakes has decreased with 1 pack costing 99p instead of £1.15 and twin packs costing £1.89 instead of £2.19 in a bid to match the decrease in size – but this does mean there’s a small increase in price per Jaffa Cake!

Personally I think we should take to the streets to protest, 10 Jaffa Cakes is just not enough to cure the Jaffa craving I’ve got from writing this article.

I am flabbergasted and totally astonished by this news; I cried a lot when I heard this. How dare they?! It’s nearly as bad as the time when I found out that I had been eating a chocolate digestive the wrong way round…. !!!
