Room Review: Pandamonium0
By - Posted 4th July, 2015 at 9:34 pm

Pandamonium
Created by Conspicuous

Introduction

Brilliance. That is the word that should be used to describe this room. Conspicuous has cleverly used cheap, VIP furniture to create an imaginative and a rather intriguing room. At a quick glance, the room seems to have a fairly stable theme throughout (pandas) and most of the furniture used seems to fit quite well. There do seem to be some design errors such as the randomly placed Mannequin, but we’ll discuss that later!

Oh, if you don’t know what picture the VIP lamps are creating… it’s a panda!

Design Pros

This will sound rather generalised, but the panda itself is fantastic! Although it is not displayed in the screenshot, it also “winks”. I do consider it truly amazing at how such simple furniture has created such an inspirational room – bravo to Conspicuous for doing this. In fact, most of the room was achieved via donations from the community! Therefore, he couldn’t have made this room without a large number of generous users – I think they all deserve a bravo as well. The Panda Posters and the Bamboo Plants also work well with the room and inevitably suit the theme (whilst maintaining a cheap cost).

Also, the HC Sofas and the Rock Walls/Corners seem to fit in surprisingly well. I can understand that the green colour of the HC Sofas matches thecolour of bamboo, but the rock items just seem to work well with the room naturally. I guess some things work well and some things don’t!

Design Cons

Why the random Mannequin? It’s a feeble attempt at mimicking a panda and it simply does not work… especially when placed in a completely random spot. The same goes for the Poinsetta, the Sunflower and the Chestnut Roaster! Furniture looks completely disgusting when placed randomly.

The Freeze Tiles are a fairly bland piece of furniture. I will admit, they do seem like adequate flooring but they don’t suit the theme of pandas at all. Better flooring for this room could have been bamboo or simple grass, Freeze Tiles really don’t meet a ‘fantastic’ standard in relation to this room.

Finally, why the random Flag? Pandas aren’t generally perceived as originating from Australia.

Room Rating

On behalf of the Habbox staff team, I give this room a rating of 9 out of 10! The room has received this rating because the owner has managed to sustain a clear theme throughout the room via a good use of furniture, but also because of the owner’s ability to come up with such an imaginative room design and a very witty room name. To improve this room the owner needs to consider placing furniture in suitable places (not completely random spots) and to potentially remove some furniture which doesn’t fit in with the room at all.

On a final note, congratulations to the owner for making such a fabulous room! You can tell us your views below!
