Over the past few days we have noticed that people are being targeted by an exploit within the Habbo client. The exploit allows the hacker to combine your account to theirs by you just clicking a URL that has been posted on a forum or on Habbo itself. There have been posts by several users on HabboxForum who are posting dangerous links, making users vulnerable to a security exploit on Habbo.com’s website.
Please beware of any links you click on any Habbo fansite and also Habbo itself, as people have reported they are using youtube links, tumblr links and URL shortning services (tinyurl, bit.ly and so on) to trick you into going to the website and then realising minutes later your account has been taken over.
On the forum we have filtered the main URL that is being used for this exploit to happen which is the following:
DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS THAT CONTAIN THE ABOVE ON ANY HABBO FANSITE, WEBSITE OR HABBO CLIENT ITSELF.
Since these users are also doing it on Habbo itself, you should NOT click any links that get sent out unless you know they are 100% safe. Once you have clicked one of these dangerous links, it will combine your account with the hackers account via Email or another service such as Facebook and then they are able to access your account freely and to take any furniture/credits you may have on there.
We do believe Habbo have since changed this process but we are still banning users, banning IP’s and filtering any new sites they use to offer protection towards the users on Habbox websites.
