Simon has been a bad boy! Over the past couple of years Simon has dropped people from his record label. Recently it was announced that Shayne was dropped from Simon’s label, due to his album “Obsessions” failed to reach the UK top ten in the charts. Bosses at Simon’s record label told Shayne that his contract will not be renewed.
Shayne won the second series of The X Factor back in 2005. He later on went on to sell over 3 million records worldwide. But as the years went on, he faced problems with his career. Simon Cowell refused to release any further music from Shayne for three years in favour of Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle.
A spokesman from Simon’s label said: “After five very successful years and an international career which saw him sell over 3.2 million records, Shayne’s contract has come to an end.”
Even though Shayne was dropped by Simon’s record label, it’s not the last time you’ll be hearing from him. Shayne later took to his twitter and said: “To all my Fans I am great! Remember Business is business! 1 door closed, A Thousand more will open. 🙂 X.”
One of his fans responded to his tweet and tweeted: “Glad to hear it! Remember your fans will always support you, no matter who you are signed to.”
Good luck Shayne!
