Today held a shocking announcement for tech-geeks all over the world today, that CEO of computing giants Apple, Steve Jobs, potentially has only six weeks left to live.
Jobs has been suffering from a rare form of pancreatic cancer for about seven years, and last month he was granted medical leave by the board of directors at Apple so he could focus on his health, that had suddenly made a turn for the worse. Despite his absence, he has shown his passion for the company by still regularly turning up at the head offices in California, and still making the key decisions from home.
The businessman was recently photographed looking less than his usual self due to the effects of his devastating illness. He had reportedly lost approximately 45 pounds, and he was looking “painfully frail and weak“, with his hair showing signs of thinning due to chemotherapy used to treat the illness. The photos are not publicly available.
“Judging from the photos, he is close to terminal.” said critical care physician Samuel Jacobson. “I would say he has six weeks.”
The 55-year-old who is responsible for bringing the world such innovative products such as the iPod, iPhone and recently released iPad has received widespread support from followers, wishing him well in this extremely difficult and upsetting time.
I certainly hope Steve can recover from this horrible disease. He is an inspirational man who has worked hard to where he has got, and if the worse does come to worse he will never be forgotten in the technology world.
