It looks like Dermot O’Leary won’t be getting the job as presenter of X Factor USA. Dermot is currently the presenter of X Factor UK.

 Former T4 presenter Steve Jones is the latest star to be confirmed as a possible candidate to presentX Factor USA. If Steve gets the role, he will be getting£1.25 million for doing the job.

 It will be a huge loss for Dermot O’Leary who’s made no secret of his desire of landing the job role. Just last week Dermot told a newspaper: ‘Have I got it? I still don’t know. I’ve thrown my hat in the ring. I’ve been over, had a few meetings. I’ve sat down with Simon. I’ve made a pitch, but to be honest there’s not a lot more I can do.’

‘It’s all a bit odd. I didn’t do any screen tests, which would be normal, because I’m already doing the job here, and they can see exactly what they’d be getting. Now I just have to wait.’ Dermot said.
 
However, Steve told a newspaper: ‘I don’t want to jinx anything I’ve got it. One day I hear it’s going my way, one day i’m less sure.
 
X Factor USA will be airing in the US from September 2011!  

Personally, I think Steve should get the job. I think he will present the show better then Dermot, also Steve is super hot!
