Storm raging through Saturn!0

It all began as a relatively small white dot in Saturn’s northern hemisphere but within days, the dot grew larger…
It is said that the storm is producing lightning bolts, 10,000 times stronger than those on planet Earth. The storm has caused a ‘Great White Spot’ which is visible from Earth. It is called so because it means that the white patch is large enough to be visible through a telescope from Earth. The storm has a latitude and longitude of 6,200 and 10,500 miles. Meaning it would spread across half of the Earth!
It is also an extremely rare sight and occurs about once every thirty years. It is very unusual for this to occur on a planet like Saturn because the atmosphere is normally always calm. This is only the sixth case of such horrific megastorms on Saturn since 1876 but all other previous cases were much weaker compared to this one.
“It’s still going like crazy” said scientist Linda Spilker of the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
