Tesco hits the (metaphorical) ban button on 1,400 students!0
Tesco goes to extreme measures against a school’s pupils!
Earlier this week, Tesco took extreme measures against a group of intimidating pupils from Kettering Science Academy by banning the entire school from 1 of their stores… that’s over 1,400 students banned from 1 shop! The ban was put in place because several employees felt that they were intimidated by some teenage pupils visiting the store (hardly an uncommon occurrance in today’s society). Shoplifting was also noted under the ban reason.
The headmaster of the academy (Mr Campbell) criticised Tesco over the ban and even went on to claim that it was a “knee-jerk reaction”. He also claimed that it was an unnecessary action and that he would be performing an assembly on Monday to “assure students that he has every faith in them as hard working and good children.” He did also note that he would point out that a minority of the school had let the entire school down.
Tesco responded to the criticism from Mr Campbell by claiming that “The ban was only a temporary measure, as we will not tolerate intimidation of our staff or disruption for customers.” They also went on to say “We will continue to work with the school and will monitor the new arrangements.”
Luckily for all 1,400 pupils, the ban has been removed from them and they can continue to shop at Tesco once again… that’s if Tesco don’t decide to make another stupid decision and suddenly ban all pupils from entering their stores (that won’t happen for all those who are wondering).
