Global megastars The Black Eyed Peas have teamed up with video game giants Ubisoft to give their fans “The Black Eyed Peas Experience”, a brand new game where you can dance along to some of the Peas’ biggest hits.
The game was announced by the group yesterday at a press conference in Paris at the Stade de France stadium, where they have played a trio of gigs, kicking off their tour of European festivals and stadiums over the summer. At the conference, member apl.de.ap said the game was “like being in our concert or hearing a video in your living room.”
The game will initially be available on the Wii console and XBox 360 via the Kinect technology, which was praised by members Fergie and will.i.am, who said the process of creating the game was like “collaborating with [the] U2 or Rolling Stones of technology”.
Fergie said that the game was a great simulator of what it’s like to be in the band, stating “It’s a perfect fit for us, The Black Eyed Peas are bringing the party to the people“.
I for one am looking forward to that party!
