The Wedding

Smiles and sunshine,

laughter and glee.
Dances and songs,
pure jubilee.
Memories made
and memories held.
Fluttering excitement,
promises upheld.
Love and commitment,
lifelong vows.
A nation together,
excitement aroused.
Long in the making,
finally done.
A pairing of perfection,
a new life begun.
Many years together,
till death do they part.
This new path approached
by the joining of hearts.
