Peter Andre has been named as the hardest working singer in the UK, based on attendance figures at concerts.
Last year, Andre performed live to more fans then any other entertainer, earning him the title of ‘Britains hardest working singer’. During his ‘Revelation’ tour in 2010, he performed 38 concerts and sang to almost 100,000 people, beating the previous winners, Status Quo.
Andre’s singing career spans almost 2 decades from when he first started getting hits in his native Australia and then in the UK. In 1995, his hit single ‘Mysterious Girl’ got to number 2 in the British charts, but when it was re-released in 2004 after his appearance on ‘I’m a Celebrity’, it hit the number 1 spot.
Ten of his singles and four of his albums have made the top ten in the charts. Andre has said in the past he loves performing live, and thinks it is the ‘ultimate experience’. Most of his concerts this year were at arena venues including the Manchester Evening News Arena (MEN) and the 02 arena in London.
Peter Andre is amazing, and I am not surprised about him being named the hardest working singer, due to his massive tour. Congratulations to him!
