Sebastian Vettel gets pole position in the Australian Grand Prix
Sebastian Vettel has stormed into pole position for the start of the new Formula 1 season in Australia. Sebastian Vettel was on fire when being the fastest driver in all three of qualifying and coming 0.8 seconds faster than Lewis Hamilton in the qualifying rounds.
The 23 year old current world champion said that his reason for living was to win the Formula 1 title. He also wanted to show all of the other F1 drivers what they’d be up against this season of F1.
Last year Sebastian Vettel clinched the title in Abu Dhabi, in the final race of the season. He overcame a fifteen point deficit to Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso after a strategic mistake was made by the Italian team.
The German has made it clear that totalling up the statistics, fastest laps, poles and victories, is very important to him and it is speculated that he wants to overtake the record of ninety one victories and seven titles held by his fellow countryman and friend Michael Schumacher. Sebastian Vettel has made it clear that he want to overtake Michael Schumacher record by getting pole position for the sixteenth time since the start of his career.
