The BBC has confirmed through a press release that the award-winning school based drama Waterloo Road is set to return next month. 

It was confirmed yesterday, through the broadcaster’s press lists that the new Waterloo Road series would begin to air during the week beginning April 30th, on May 4th.  Even though the exact time for transmission has been yet to be confirmed  it is expected that it will continue to occupy it’s usual prime time slot on Wednesday evenings. 

The news of an early return was first revealed through twitter by actor Robson Green who will be playing the new Site Manager, Rob Scotcher. He tweeted that the show would return on Wednesday May 4th. 

The Series 6 finale shown earlier this month, saw student Jonah Kirby and teacher Cesca Montoya marry, bringing their long-running romance saga to an end.
