Where are the Celebrities?0
By - Posted 4th July, 2015 at 9:33 pm

As I sit here with my precious Bieber badge on Habbo, I realize that it is becoming almost a token of the ancient past. This is during the days when Habbo.com had a lot of A-list starts coming in a gracing the Habbo red carpet. I remember the excitement Habbos had from visits from various celebs. However, no more is this a regular occurrence.

What may anger some is that Habbo.fr, the French Habbo site has released a list of celeb visits and still goes out of their way to make them a regular occurrence.  The most recent visitors will be Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson who will rocket themselves to the French Habbo this coming Monday 13th at 16:00 GMT. This is your chance to ask them any question that you like. Although sadly, it will have to be accompanied by a knowledge of the French language
.
However, this brings us back to the point of why our beloved hotel, Habbo.com seems to be crumbling to ashes in the sphere of celebrity visits. Some pundits say that it’s because of the management overhaul they had recently, which meant that the new management on the hotel took less emphasis on things such as celebrity visits and more on game-play and furniture.  Also, in speculation is the decline in numbers for the hotel, especially post-merge where Sulake was no longer as big as it once was. Then we could look at a celebrity drain, seeing as not every celebrity would agree to visit a hotel with only a few thousand people. We did contact Habbo and have had no reply as of yet- we will keep you posted on this.

Many Habbos we spoke to said that this was a big loss for the hotel, seeing as celebrity visits often made the press and allowed the hotel to market itself more. Some English speaking players were also unhappy on the bias that other hotels have been getting more celebrity visits as of late. Let us know your views by clicking ‘read more’ and submitting a comment! As for this news reporter, he’ll have to wait before getting any further celebrity badges within the hotel.
