As the great unmute comes to a end in various hotels, some questions are still left unanswered by Sulake.
During the unmute, many features in Habbo were disabled. These included the ability to create events, the newly implemented Helper tool, the ability to talk and send private messages and the ability to view a users homepage.
Homepages have been part of Habbo for as long as I can remember. They have stayed with us through various updates, and are one of the oldest features within the hotel. With the recent update of groups, pages within the website that can be used to express your creativity have become mostly a thing of the past. The homepage was the only feature left that incorporates this traditional Habbo feature.
As the great unmute begins, some people have raised the question of what will happen with Habbo homepages? This question still has not received a definite response, but the CEO of Sulake (the company that owns Habbo) tweeted that ‘homepages are not planned for right now’.
Many users are displeased with this response, with some spending large amounts of credits to decorate their homepage. I also cannot see that there are any major security issues with the return of homepages, as I have never seen a homepage being used negatively.
You have heard what I think of the issue, but what do you think?
