Gale force winds have battered Britain like Mike Tyson battering Michael Spinks
Gale force winds have battered much of Britain in the past two days but it has been said that the strong winds are expected to ease off today after gales battered the north of Britain and saw two people killed when trees fell on their cars. A woman in Corbridge died after a tree fell onto her car, while in Scotland a man in Balloch, West Dunbartonshire was also killed by a tree falling onto his car.
Forecasters issued a severe weather warning as the wind have been said to of got up to 114mph through the Scottish Highlands yesterday.
In Belfast, a falling tree hit a train, and ferry services were canceled due to these heavy winds Britain’s had. There were no injuries on the train but the driver was treated for shock.
At the weekend, an inflatable slide blew over at a garden show in Kent, resulting in three children being taken to hospital and near Scarborough in North Yorkshire, and coast guards rescued the crews which were stranded in the ocean on board two yachts.
