The winter weather has made an unwelcome appearance today!
Winter is set to make an unwelcome return today as parts of Britain are set to be covered by up to 4 inches of snow. Weather forecasters have said that is a strong chance of snow in the north of England, Northern Ireland and Scotland, and there is a risk of blizzard conditions.
The remainder of the country will be hit by rain and strong winds. On Thursday night a weather warning was issued by the met office for heavy snow in several regions. This was after a day of gales and snow flurries north of the border.
Weather warnings are now in place for the next two days in Scotland and today in England. In England, the snow showers will be accompanied by strong winds and gusting up to 30mph. Although the rest of Britain will escape the snow, it will be a dull and wet weekend.
It was the coldest December for 100 years, which has delayed the start of the early spring flowers like crocuses and daffodils by up to three weeks.
I love the snow and all that, but I do hate it when it puts of the spring.
