flooding and disruption to transport. The weather can, however, be more than a nuisance, it can also be incredibly dangerous!
Many bridges have been closed to high sided vehicles this week due to fear of them overturning. A fear that we have seen is valid as HGV’s have been overturned on many bridges throughout England and the UK, though fortunately only a few of these incidents have caused serious injury.

People’s homes have also been devastated by tree’s being torn out of the ground (or uprooted) by the wind. The weather seems to be worse along the northern boarder and in Scotland, though, where weather has worsened all week. 

As most schools have returned this week, many across the worse effected areas have had to send their pupils home because of the deteriorating weather conditions and in fear of them being unable to return home later.
