The TV Show ‘The Weakest Link’ is set to close in Spring 2012 due to Anne Robinson quitting
Anne Robinson, the host of The Weakest Link, has decided to quit the hit TV Show. ‘The Queen of Mean’ as she has been nicknamed has hosted the show for eleven years and after one thousand six hundred and ninety shows, the quiz will come to an end in Spring 2012.
There have been more than fifteen thousand contestants on the show and over two hundred and thirty five thousand questions have been asked. Ms Robinson said that it had been a hard decision to make about quitting.
She said that it was about knowing when to stop. She had said she would do the show for ten years and then the show was moved to BBC Scotland, where she decided to do one more year. Ms Robinson will continue to appear on ‘Watchdog’ and ‘My Life In Books’ on the BBC.
