Habbo Hotel has recently passed the 230 million milestone, and remains one of the most popular social gaming websites around the globe.

Habbo was first released in 2000 with the launch of the Finnish Hotel and it has been growing ever since. Habbo has 11 “language hotels” which have users from all around the world. As from the August facts found on the Sulake website the amount of avatars (Habbos) made has reached 230 million! There are on average 10 million unique visitors per month.

After Timo Soininen stepped down as CEO at the start of August (details can be seen here), many updates have occurred throughout Habbo, and it is predicted that the next milestone of registered users will be reached in no time! Habbo Hotel is now a global gaming experience which grew from a small home made business to a larger more modern one.

So how long ago did you sign up to Habbo and what are your views on the new milestone? Please share your comments below!
