Diwali

Diwali, the festival of lights, is a religious observance commemorated by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and some Buddhists around the world. Diwali, which for some also coincides with harvest and New Year celebrations, is a festival of new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil, and light over darkness. Diwali falls every autumn (October or November each year) and lasts for 5 days.

Step One:

Walk on the halo tile to enter the telephrase.

Step Two:

Here are the questions:

i.  In what country does the festival of Diwali originate?

ii.  How many days does Diwali typically last for?

iii.  What’s the name of the Hindu goddess of wealth who is celebrated at Diwali?

iv.  What month was Diwali celebrated in this year?

v.  Which English city has the LARGEST Diwali celebration outside of India?

Step Three:

Enter the teleport

Halloween

Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on October 31. The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. Soon after, in the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honour all saints. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve, and then Halloween.

Step One:

Go around the room smashing all the pumpkins.

Once completed say “Smashing Halloween“.

[To smash the pumpkins on the roof, smash the pumpkin beside the horseman of death.]

Step Two:

Enter the teleport.

Day of the Dead

The Day of the Dead (el Día de Los Muertos), is a Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a brief reunion. A blend of Mesoamerican ritual, European religion and Spanish culture, the holiday is celebrated each year from 31 October to 2 November.

Step One:

Walk on the buried zombie trap to teleport.

Step Two:

Use the black rose to teleport whilst you are sat on the floor pillow.

[You will be teleported to one of three random voodoo thrones.]

Find the hidden item in the shrines beside the voodoo throne you are sat on.

[Answer the riddle to help you find the hidden furni.]

Once completed the black adobe skull gate will open, walk inside to complete the game.

Step Three:

Sit at the dinner table and spam the word “eat” until you teleport.

[You can only sit on the highlighted chairs.]

Christmas

Christmas is celebrated by people around the world with traditions and practices that are both religious and secular in nature. Christians celebrate Christmas Day as the anniversary of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, a spiritual leader whose teachings form the basis of their religion.

Yule was a historical religious festival observed by the ancient Germanic peoples. Yule celebration predates Christian holiday and tradition by thousands of years in Scandinavia. The Midwinter Feast lasted twelve days which is where our modern twelve days of Christmas comes from. The Vikings made sure to honour their Gods with traditions, feasting, and religious rituals. One of their rituals required a sacrificial wild boar to the god Frey of fertility and farming in hopes for a productive season.
