Habbo Account Safety!1
By - Posted 18th June, 2020 at 11:38 am Badge guidesHabbo

It it important that you keep your Habbo account safe! So here are some tips on how to do it; what to do and what not to do online to keep your account secure!

Want to know more? Click on read more!

1. Use the Safety Lock feature.

Safety Lock is one way to be safe if you’re worried that someone else has accessed your account, as it stops anyone being able to log in from a computer that you haven’t confirmed as your own.

Here’s how to enable it:

First: Click on your name up on right on the home page.

Second: Click on “Settings”

Third: Click on “Account Protection”

Fourth: Click on “Turn on safety lock” and enter what they ask you to write when prompted.

And there you have it. Safety Lock is on!

2. Do NOT visit any scam link.

A lot of link/phishing scams are back on Habbo. So it is important to NOT visit any of the links given.

Some people have “giveaways” where you have to go to a link that is on a sticky note. Do NOT go there! Many of these sites are set up to steal your password and other account details.

Some scammers will send you a gift that says that you have won a competition and that you need to go to a site to get your prize. Do NOT go there! You can still open the gift, just don’t visit the link.

In general, you are best off being overly cautious rather than letting yourself get scammed – stick to Official Fansites that you know you can trust, like Habbox 😉

3. Do not give away any personal info!

Never give out your log in details to ANYONE! Not even your boy/girlfriend. A good password should have a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and even symbols. If you can’t remember it you might want to write it down somewhere that only you can access, or use a password manager tool which can save complicated (and therefore very safe!) passwords for you.

Whatever you decide to use to remember your password, remember that only YOU should know it.

Also be wary of people asking you seemingly random questions like your first pet’s name, or where you went to school. Some scammers are able to use this information to fill in your security questions and trigger a password reset – and then steal your entire account!

I hope some of this info is useful to you guys, and feel free to add anything you’d like (not scam sites, please!) in the comments below.
