Some have called it an April fools prank, some have said it’s far too official looking for that, but one thing is for certain- the new Habbo club updates are certainly causing a stir amongst the community. The price of Habbo club membership has increased to an inflated 50 credits and 50 diamonds for just 1 month. The cost for HC on the purchase Habbo credits page however remains unchanged at £3, so could this be an early April fools?
Habbo claim that being a Habbo club member is now even more rewarding with a brand new HC Centre, displaying all the information about your Habbo club membership in one place. Another new addition is the HC payday, which is determined by your HC streak (or the length of time you’ve had your membership active.) Personally, apparently I’ll be getting a measly 5 credits, despite being a member since 2010 (with the odd gap here and there).
The change has sparked many negative comments amongst users, with populated campaign rooms against the change already being present. Users are stating that the price is simply too high to justify the changes, that the need to use diamonds to buy HC means that it’s no longer possible to buy HC without using real money and that the way in which the HC streak system is unfair on those who have had gaps in their membership. You can find a screenshot of the new HC Centre below, and can check out the discussion over on our forum by clicking here. What do you think of the changes? Let us know in the comments below!
