You may have noticed that Habbo has a new update – it’s a new bonus rare! Except this time, it’s not just a decent piece of furni you get, it’s a gamble! Similarly to the balloons Habbo released for their birthday, the new Bonus rare gives you a chance to open it and become RICH with the super rare Golden House Plant… or walk away with almost nothing!

You get one of these if you’ve bought 120 credits from Habbo. As I was only 40 credits away, I splurged £3 phone credit on my sack. Now here’s the thing, do I open it or not? I want more information! So I’ve done some digging and have a (probably very incomplete) list for you. I still haven’t mustered the courage to sell or open mine yet, I’m waiting to see how it goes for a while! But I thought I’d let you know the fruits of my digging with this article!

1. Habbo Club. A number of people have reported getting HC from their bonus rares. I’ve not heard of anyone myself but I saw someone say on Habbo earlier that they only got 3 days… definitely not worth it!

2. Houseplants. These were uploaded a while ago to Habbo (before the superhero range!!) so I had to go back quite far to find them! Only the big ones seem to exist on Habbo right now, but the small versions were uploaded at the same time. There is a range of colours: Crimson, Ochre, Emerald, Violet, a black one and the Rare Golden one. You can see them all here (image courtesy of Puhekupla!)

So, should I get one?

Are you feeling lucky, punk? That’s what it boils down to really. If you do get a sack then they’re selling for around 70 credits at the moment. If you’re close to the top of your purchase bar then even that is worth it. If you’re thinking of opening it then you are taking a risk! There will be some golden trees (currently selling for over 500 credits!!) but your chances of getting them are really small. The other houseplants are selling for a decent amount, but less than the bag is worth (between 20 and 50 credits).
