I’m not much of a film fanatic because I can’t seem to sit still long enough to watch them. However, what’s strange is I will gladly sit down for hours straight watching episodes after episodes of TV shows without getting bored. Maybe it’s because I can take a short break after 45 minutes before watching the next episode, or maybe it’s because I find it easier to multitask and switch between tabs with TV shows, I’m not sure. I tried watching Lord Of The Rings and I had to re-watch the second film 3 times because I either a) fell asleep, or b) forgot to pay attention and had no idea what was going on.
Anyway, I watch a few TV shows that are returning in 2016 with a new series, and here are three that I recommend…
Orphan Black
The new series has already started last month, but I couldn’t miss this series out just for that. It’s a thriller and science fiction show staring Tatiana Maslany, who plays Sarah, a woman who witnesses the suicide of a woman who looks exactly like her and then steals her identity in hope to solve all her problems. Although, obviously it doesn’t work out because there wouldn’t be any story. However, her problems multiply (and so does she…?)
I don’t think I’ve been as hooked to a TV show as I was to this one, and even waiting a week for each new episode now is hard! You can find all episodes on Netflix, including the first 3 series, with a new episode of the 4th being released every Thursday.
Person Of Interest
Person Of Interest is a science fiction/crime drama show who follows John Reese, a presumed-dead former CIA agent who is hired by a billionaire to prevent crimes that are predicted to happen by the Machine, a mass-surveillance computer system.
The 5th series will be renewed on the 3rd of May with 2 episodes being released a week until its final episode on the 21st of June. It has also been announced that this series will be the final one, sad times.
Orange Is The New Black
I’ll be shocked if anyone hasn’t at least heard of this series. It’s a comedy-drama show based on Piper Kerman’s memoir, Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison (2010) about her experiences in a minimum-security federal prison.
It’s a Netflix original series, meaning all episodes will be on Netflix. The 4th series will be released on the 14th of June and it has already been renewed for a fifth, sixth and seventh series, happy days!
Have you watched any of these? Are there any other TV shows you’re excited for?
