48 hour badge frenzy!0
Fancy getting your hands on an unusual badge? Then you’d better act quickly!

A new badge was discovered recently which sparked a lot of interest amongst Habbo users and also caused quite a lot of confusion about what on Earth it was going to be used for. The badge description is “Did you know Habbo was invented in the year 2000?” which is a rather unusual description for a badge and provided no hints to its purpose, but today we learnt exactly what it is for!
The badge is being handed out for users who correctly guess the year in which Habbo was created, but the main focus of the competition seems to be an attempt to gain more interest in competitions being held on the Habbo Facebook page. The competition was only announced on the Habbo Facebook page and Twitter feeds, thus suggesting that Sulake are trying to entice more people to these social networking sites and participate in more competitions held on these sites. The StrayPixels competition was introduced to Facebook a few days ago, so it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for Sulake to continue adding competitions to their Facebook page.

Here are a few comments that users posted about this unusual competition;
“Incredibly easy and quite pointless way to get a badge IMO? Either way it’s an OK looking badge! There’s definitely been better however.” ~ Skynus
“Seems rather interesting, nice badge too.” ~ Zuth
“I like that badge!” ~ NeverSkem
