Samanfa – Competitions Staff
Being in the Competitions Department comes as a challenge sometimes, especially with ensuring you meet deadlines with both competitions and competition winners, not including the fact that you need to come up with ideas that haven’t been done in recent months and uniqueness is needed! I’ve been competitions staff for 18 months now so sometimes, finding unique ideas can be pretty hard. That’s why I tend to write them down straight away!
My day starts normally really,I don’t expect to find inspiration for a competition but sometimes it just hits me – like that. I found that not looking for inspiration makes everything come to you and when I find it,I write it down and build it up into a successful competition for the members of Habbox Forum to enter. Finally, when a competition has ended I need to find a winner. When I pick one,I’m looking for someone who was unique in their entry, but who has also stuck within the guidelines depending what sort of competition it was – the one I’m choosing now had to be the most crazy, so I’m going to pick the most out-of-this-world one!
I can’t leak the winner of my latest comps until they’ve been announced, but lets just say the strangest entries often win on my competitions,as I sit there laughing my head off, often for hours. It’s also fun to share some of the entires with my friends here at Habbox, especially Laura. We usually sit there for a long time laughing over some of the entries!
Winners are mainly down to opinion as long as they’re not fixed answer competitions (the managers randomly pick them from that) and, to get all winners notified and the like there is a competition winners thread we post in each time we have a winner – we aim to give a winner for a competition within 48 hours of it ending!
Thanks to Samanfa for writing her day in the Competitions Department – tune in tomorrow to see another department in action!
