As help desk staff, the minimum requirement to do is 5 hours per week. I find that it’s best to spread this out throughout the week so that you’re not leaving it until Sunday night to do your hours and meet the minimum. This usually means trying to do a bit every day.

I have been in the department for around 15 months altogether now so it’s pretty much embedded into my head the times that work for me to be going into the help desk. Once behind the desk, there are a few different things to be doing. First of all, the main priority is helping users that come in asking for help. The questions are mainly about Habbo and Habbox although sometimes we are asked about other things too! Another thing which we do whilst in the help desk is moderate the room to make sure that it’s a friendly environment for regular and new users to be in. There’s also other things too such as communicating with fellow staff members and users which makes it a lot more fun!

Every Saturday,the SNQ (Saturday Night Quiz) is hosted by a help desk member. We take it in turns each week so hopefully everybody (who wants to!) gets a chance of hosting it. The questions should be written up early in the week and then sent to Ms.Aquamarine and Garriet to be checked over and approved. Then,at 7pm on Saturday,we’re ready to go! Although we aren’t allowed to participate ourselves in the SNQ,it is still fun to organise and show up! There are also other events that we’re able to help out with throughout the year such as the Bunny’s Burrow that was hosted at Easter so it can be a lot of fun!
