Come on Habbos, it’s time to get in Formation!
Queen of the Bey-Hive has dropped her latest album “Lemonade” in the only way she knows how – a fully visual album. It’s an emotional rollercoaster, full of ups, downs and mad beats. But unless you’re a subscriber of TIDL, you won’t be able to enjoy this album in all its glory… for now at least!
Exciting. Sad. Happy. Angry. Lots of different emotions – and all ones that the Queen Bey is trying to convey in her latest visual album, Lemonade.
Former Destiny’s Child lit up the screens of HBO viewers late on Saturday night in an hour long special, which started to highlight the trials and tribulations relationships can pose. But in true Beyonce style, the tone evolves into one of beauty and love, resulting in Lemonade.
Following the HBO Special, Beyonce dropped the entire album on TIDL – which industry insiders advise will be the only home for the album, for now at least! Talk about real promotion of Jay Z’s platform – she even took to Twitter for the first time in years to tell her fans this is where the album can be found!
On first listen I didn’t love the album. I’m on about my sixth listen as I write this and I’m starting to feel it a bit more. There’s no “Crazy In Love” club stopping hits, but there are a few nice tunes, my favourite so far being track 6, Daddy’s Lessons.
Do you think the move to give exclusivity of one of the most anticipated albums of the year, to a subscription based service was a good idea? Post your comments below! Happy Listening!
Until Next Time
