Sad Girl - Self Harming

A sweet girl from a small town, showed her beautiful smile, but deep inside is a hidden frown.
She loved to paint, but hid it from everyone, with not one complaint.
She stayed awfully silent, not speaking to her friend, I guess all she did is have to pretend.
Acting like there’s nothing wrong, when really feeling depressed for so long.

She pressed on home, but there wasn’t a soul in sight,
So she ran to her room and switched off the light.
She open her draw, and grabbed something inside,
Pulling it out, followed by an insecure sign.
You see, she could paint a lovely picture, but this story has a twist.
Her paintbrush was a razor and her canvas was her wrist.

Self harming is a serious issue and no-one should suffer from it. If you know anyone or you self harm yourself, don’t hesitate to tell a friend or go and call this number. It’s 100% confidential and you can stay  anonymous. You’re not the only one out there so don’t stay in the dark. Just give them a ring on 08457 90 90 90
