Actress Candice King, best known for starring as Caroline Forbes in The Vampire Diaries, has come forward and has happily discussed her character and her character’s relationship with Klaus Mikaelson (played by Joseph Morgan).

We are only 2 weeks away from The Originals premiere and the 30-year-old has sat down and spilled some details. The actress said, “Julie Plec always had a very clear idea of what she wanted for Caroline and Klaus together,” The movie star then carried on saying, “It wasn’t exactly always in line with what the fans wanted for those characters…she wrote very important moments that she wanted for those characters, but I think she also gave a lot to the fans and what they wanted to see.”

It was noted a while ago that Candice would only be making an appearance in the premiere, however just recently it was revealed that this was not the case and her character will be sticking around for a bit longer than expected. It has been mentioned that this all occurred in a dinner with Series producer Julie Plec, “One thing led to another, as it usually does with Julie and I. A couple bottles of wine later and I’m in five episodes of the show.”

As for her character’s relationship on the show with Klaus Mikaelson, which is known to be one of the most popular ships across The Vampire Diaries and The Originals shows, the Juno star, “When [The Vampire Diaries] ended, it was just supposed to be a quick little pop-in to say goodbye to the Caroline and Klaus storyline for the fans,” she says. “We all felt that it would be really significant and important for anyone who supported – or ‘shipped’ as the kids say – those two together”.

Some updates have come to the surface just today! New information about the premiere’s first episode, details as well as what will be happening for Vincent Griffith (played by Yusuf Gatewood), leader of the New Orleans Witch Community. Vincent will foresee a threat unlike anything they have encountered before that will begin the moment the Mikaelsons get together. It has not been revealed what the threat will be, however going by the trailer it will be something very dark, dangerous and evil.

And finally onto the premiere details of Season 5 of The Originals . Firstly the episode is called The Beginning of The End. What will happen is:

Desperate to see her father Klaus (Joseph Morgan) after seven years, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) will resort to drastic measures in bringing her father back to New Orleans. Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) will attempt to minimize the fallout from Hope’s actions, but not before news of what she’s done ripples throughout the city. Meanwhile, Freya’s (Riley Voelkel) guilt over not being able to reunite her family gets in the way of her happiness in her relationship with Keelin (guest star Christina Moses). Rebekah (Claire Holt) continues to struggle with her inability to fully commit to Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). Finally, struggling without Elijah (Daniel Gillies) by his side, Klaus’ murderous rampage throughout Europe leads to an unexpected encounter with Caroline Forbes (guest star Candice King).
